7 new substances were added to the OEHHA Proposition 65 list in late 2021, and early 2022. The total number of substances on the list exceeds 900+ substances.
The 7 new substances:
Perfluorononanoic acid (PFNA), its salts
Perfluorooctane sulfonic acid (PFOS), its salts, and its degradation and transformation precursors
2-ethylhexyl acrylate (2-EHA)
Methyl acrylate (MA)
Tetrahydrofuran (TFH)
Technical-grade trimethylolpropane triacrylate (TMPTA)
Perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA)
Two of the substances (PFOS and PFOA) were already included on the Proposition 65 list. However, the listing for PFOS includes additional related substances and a new listing for PFOA has been added to also include Cancer under the toxicity type.
